Frequently Asked Questionse

What is the difference between On-Premise and Off-Premise BASSET Certification?

On-Premise BASSET Certification is designed for individuals working in establishments where alcohol is consumed on-site. These establishments include bars, restaurants, nightclubs and other similar venues. On-Premise BASSET Certification focuses on responsible alcohol service techniques, managing intoxicated patrons, preventing overconsumption and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for customers.

Off-Premise BASSET Certification is intended for individuals employed in establishments where alcohol is sold for consumption off-site. Examples of off-premise establishments include liquor stores, convenience stores, grocery stores and gas stations. Off-Premise BASSET Certification emphasizes responsible sales practices, checking ID, recognizing signs of intoxication, preventing sales to minors and ensuring compliance with applicable alcohol laws and regulations.
